Bishop Isidore of Baramous was a Coptic bishop associated with the Monastery of Baramous. His work belongs to the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Although it has been bibliographically dated to 1890, the printing used for this edition has no confirmed date.
The book treats the obligation and hours of prayer, fasting and spiritual duties including love, mercy, humility, purity and repentance. It also defends received Orthodox worship in the debates of its time.
